I thought the inside analysis suggested that the information was downloaded so fast that it could have only been done from the inside by downloading to a flash drive or similar.

this is correct, and there is backing for it based on what the framers said and wrote (and argued about) while drafting the Constitution.

They are equating Trump to the hypothetical "tyrant president" the framers feared so much and added safeguards to avoid.

But it's all taken out of context of the situation. They won't mention the current treaty between the US and Ukraine. They won't speak about WHY Trump asked Zelinski to investigate Burisma, other than their opinion that his only reason was to get dirt on Biden. They won't talk about all the times Congress allowed previous presidents to set foreign policy and make deals with other countries without congressional approval. They also won't mention all the times executive privilege has been used successfully by the POTUS and upheld by the supreme Court.

Trump may not have committed acts that justify his immediate removal from office, but the constitutional standard is not whether he has committed an ordinary criminal offense. To support an impeachment, there does not need to be a crime, only a high crime and misdemeanor. A president who egregiously misuses the powers of his office or engages in conduct grossly incompatible with the dignity of his office has forfeited the right to continue to occupy his office and is subject to the constitutional judgment of the Senate acting as a court of impeachment. The House and the Senate might conclude that accusations of misconduct are ungrounded or that remedy of removal is unwarranted, but the misconduct that they might assess need not involve violations of the criminal law.

Grievously abusing the office is treason in my view, I believe Trump has done that. Thats not to say he is the only one who has, either.

You do realize that Candidate Trump said He hopes that the Russians have Hillary's emails AFTER Hillary's people claimed they had been hacked.

And that the US government should get all the emails she deleted from the Russians if they have them.

Oddly enough Obama never asked the Russians to return her emails, I wonder why?
