True, it's utter Bullshit from one point of view.
The other point of view though is the publicity that this one took and continues to take.
Hypothetically speaking there are scenarios that handle super critical situations of this kind, depending on the level of it.
Taken thus that what is said is true about the coronavirus (it's how they call it, has anyone provided evidence, scientific evidence of such ) then there are the following scenarios
A scenario by accident or just appeared but not intentionally.
1. Bioweapon or not if it set free by accident the first measure is to contain it so not to be spread and secondly to try to make a vaccinne if there is not one already made up.
2. If you can't contain it and the mortality chances are very high as also the mutation of it very high and no vaccinne can be made, then you must procceed to the next steps that are,
2.1 to evaluate the reflection that it will have as mortality rate Globally
2.2 to decide if the cause justifies the means.
3. If a vaccine can be made and will save more than of those that will die from the virus, then you make the vaccinne and you stick to that scenario.
4. If a vaccinne cannot be made soon enough to save those that can be saved, then the next step is to stop the virus from spreading more, even if that means wiping entire cities from the face of the Earth.

B Scenario by not accident but intentionally.
This one is pretty simple on the steps that are followed, first you try to contain it, you do the best to seem that you try to contain it and how much you sympathize all the suffering and behind the scenes you wait for depopulation to take place eventually, whilst you have already the vaccinne yourself and for all those that must be saved for the new beginning.
Here money are of no significance nor power is, but behind this is another scenario that pushed this scenario to take place, maybe the Planet that can't take it anymore and the zero point of it has been reached and thus something should be done about it for the human race to continue to exist, or something like that.

However I do not believe that this situation falls into the above scenarions, it's probably just bullshit. You can pass anything you like through bullshit behind the scenes and they will be grateful for that (the common people), even if its against your Freedom.

If someone has not DIED or has not yet been CURED, you can't include them in the statistics yet.

From the official numbers (probably incorrect anyway) 26 have died and 35 have been cured.

61 total, so 26/61 = 0.426, that's 42.6% CFR currently, a FAR CRY from 2%

Knowing THIS, it makes more sense now why 14 cities are locked down

I don't think you can really trust the "official" stats being released by China. The mass quarantines, banning of public transport and chaos in the hospitals suggest something a bit more serious than we're being told
