But nothing but water and canned fish and chicken? Would it have broke the bank to buy some Flintstones vitamins and the very least? Lmfao |

Your 12 gallons will not last two weeks(Well intended constructive criticism). Go camping and you will quickly learn how much water you need to get through a day. I'm not trying to be a dick, you are already heading in the right direction. Only offering constructive criticism to help all who read this. Backpacking stoves are pretty awesome preps to have for cooking and water purification. Boiling kills bacteria and Viruses. Alcohol stoves can be very Inexpensive. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to make them from soda cans. Denatured alcohol from the hardware store is what they burn, and it is very cost effective. Alcohol is semi safe to burn indoors(like sterno used for catering) but Butane fueled stoves burn the cleanest indoors. It would be very wise to have some ventilation if used indoors(use stoves indoors in an emergency only, and use common sense). Stay Safe MAGA |

You plan on eating 5oz of tuna a day? You must be a millennial, cocky but stupid. 100 calories, mostly protein. What a fucking tard. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77197668 Yeah, the 5 oz cans of albacore are 100 calories. The 12.5 chicken breast is about 300. 24x100=2400 12×300=3600 Total =6000 calories is going to last OP 30 days. Average 200 calories per day. That's what I call "prepping". |

What an idiot. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72775181 Yea, OP, I think u should take some time to get educated - why would u address the GLP community as poor and degrading members? I’ve been on this site for like 10 years and there are many lurkers and members, both groups include some great people - that are reading ur post and rolling their eyes including myself... You just have to read the labels and watch the expiration date ... Our great grandparents survived by having a garden , livestock and a fruit cellar ... if they bought something , they bought large cans of staples ... lard , sugar , and flour ect ...
