2 people in Concord NH isolated, coronavirus

CONCORD, N.H. —
Two people in New Hampshire recently traveled to the Chinese city at the center of the deadly coronavirus outbreak and are being monitored, health officials said.

Nothing in that link shows anyone was isolated due to coronavirus. Fake news

Anyone know any details as to what hospital they were taken to?

Hope these people didn't go to the pharmacy a bunch while they were sick, before heading to the doctor.

I'm sure these travelers went through Logan Airport in Boston.

I'm watching WMUR, they reported on the 6:00 pm news. 2 people are in isolation in Concord, test results are expected in the coming days. They experienced symptoms within 2 weeks of coming back from Wuhan. They did not specify where in NH they are from but will specify where they are from if the results come back positive.

Scary to think they were walking around for two weeks in public before seeking medical help. Thats along time in public places, at work and so on.

Hope to here it's just the flu, from those two.

In my dreams when this all happened they paid people to get infected, spread it around, then given a cure. They are well paid and sign NDA's. They call them..."rats"

Yes. I live in NH, went to the grocery store Sunday and stocked up on food. For all I know, they could shop at the same store - infected others who shop at the same store. Welp, I guess all we can do right now is wait and see if they test positive.

This was posted in a WMUR FB feed - one patient is being treated at the Littleton Regional Hospital and the other being treated at Concord hospital, according to NH DHHS spokesman Jake Leon.

I found this on NH DHHS website:

"There are currently two individuals in New Hampshire with recent travel to Wuhan City, China, who have developed respiratory symptoms and are currently undergoing testing for novel coronavirus. These people have more mild illness, but both sought healthcare for their illnesses and are recovering. They remain isolated until test results are available. Samples have been sent to the CDC for testing. If testing confirms a case of novel coronavirus in New Hampshire, DPHS will share that information and protective recommendations with both the affected parties and the public as quickly as possible..."

I was told It was In Littleton NH... not far from me but this could be fake news my friend told me he saw it on facebook. I'll see If I can find the post.

At the 113th Littleton Regional Healthcare annual meeting, the following announcement was made to alleviate concerns from community members.

On Thursday, January 23, 2020, a student from White Mountain School in Bethlehem, NH presented at the Littleton Regional Healthcare (LRH) emergency department with mild flu-like symptoms. The student had traveled to Hunan, China in December returning to the US on January 6, 2020.

Following the CDC guidelines for infection control, the patient has been placed in a negative pressure intensive care room for treatment to prevent cross-contamination to other areas of the hospital. LRH is also following the CDC recommended standard, contact, and airborne precautions for healthcare providers.

LRH is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control to determine whether or not this is a confirmed case of the Coronavirus. LRH was informed today at the CDC would not be providing a diagnosis for at least 24 – 48 hours.

There will be no further announcements related to this issue until LRH receives a diagnosis from the CDC.

LRH officials ask that the media respect the privacy of all patients at LRH. Questions should be directed to the PR department at [email protected] or by calling 603.444.9304.

If they returned from Wuhan on 6 Jan and the child went to the hospital with flu like symptoms on 23 Jan, that would put it at 18 days.

eta - the child was in Hunan, not Wuhan

I live in Seacoast area of NH. I also saw the WMUR segment on tonight's news. Lots of absences in area schools and many sneezing and coughing people at Hannaford's grocery store. I have stocked up on Vitamin C and bottled water.

I'm watching WMUR and they reported that test results should come in today.

What were the results? Ohh that's right. It's 2022 now.
