The west won't allow any diplomatic solution, and hoping that the winter by itself will change anything, is not a smart strategy for Russia. For their sake, they better not be counting on that. If a revolution cascade happens in EU changing the balance of power favorably to Russia, good for them, but the EU and specially Germany, already are showing signs that barring a literal revolution, nothing will change.

As for the Kherson situation, we will soon find if it is indeed a nothingburger or if it will be the turning point many are speculating it can be.

If the DAM goes.... but the ukies so far made a TOKEN attack with HIMARS which is not even the proper tool for that and was intercepted by the AD systems there. This right here might indicate that they will not dare to cross that line and will refrain from that plan.

Europe and Ukraine cannot deal with a winter of war. Russia could turn off the gas at any time. With cold temperatures the Russian army could do whatever it wants. In Northern Europe cold and no gas means death

VERY significant developments happening the last few days.

The above video deals with the US sending the 101st Airborne Division to the Ukrainian border.

I agree with basically everything he said in that video.

The final part where he mentions a "conundrum" for Russia corroborates the point I made twice before in my posts: The US are intent at checkmating Russia into a relevant escalation.

He didn't mentioned the other significant issue, which ties with the above, about Russia MOD, Gen. Shoigu calling his western counterparts (US, UK, French) warning about a possible FF with a ukie dirt bomb and that things are "on the verge of an uncontrolled escalation". Indeed they are, and I truly hope that Russia is not being caught off-guard by any of that.

Well, I said before that I thought this FF with dirt bomb very far-fetched to be actually true.

And yet: Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu claimed in rare phone calls that included his counterparts from the United States, Britain, France, and Turkey that Ukrainian forces are preparing a "provocation" with a radioactive device. A Kremlin statement cited that he conveyed a warning over "possible Ukrainian provocations involving a 'dirty bomb'".

So the Russians themselves are claiming this.... so something must be up.

But why bother to call your enemies to complain about something that they themselves are concocting? I hope it was to explain what the consequences will be.... and for no other reason.

That 101 division sent by the US is a clear sign that NATO is now looking for any excuse to get involved, and it won't take much longer it seems.

Well.... the evacuation thing seems to be approaching its deadline. Took a lot longer then initially thought.... and so far the DAM is still intact, which explains the boredom-hiatus up to this point.

Maybe next week things will truly heat-up again. The Russian's clearly are setting-up a trap for the ukies.... if they break into Kherson, something is bound to happen, I will be surprised if not so.

The "vaporize it with tact nukes" sounds like a nice idea though, but I doubt Putin would go for that right now. Maybe when everything goes FUBAR later in the winter, pending NATO's move.... we will see.

Sadly, my father is worse.



In the last weeks, he went to emergency room 4 times, after last time he was hospitalized for a week.


Last Friday, the doctors told me that they can't do anything, and told me to take him home or leave him on palliative care, because he ain't going to make it. They gave him maybe a month, possibly two.



I took him home.



So, now, all I can do is pray. And wait.
