No new clusters, SK and Italy fucked and rapidly going Wuhan-style, markets down, but no crash this week. I am waiting for a cluster in Europe, outside Italy. Up until that point, the main post and the one on page 79, will be updated when needed. If anything out of the ordinary happens, I will be here to post about it and try to analyze the impact. But for now, all is going as predicted by my model.In 4 words, this is the conclusion : WE ARE STILL FUCKED. What's the R0 at now?... If it is at around 6, are you going to change the initial model? Or why bother cause we're all fucked anyway... The model is build for an R0 between 4 and 6. But what comes from South Korea and Italy...man, it's way over 6. Still, that doesn't mean that ALL the infected people are presenting an R0 over 6, but a good portion of them do have an R0 over 6. My model is mathematical, and it is for the entire world. In any pandemic, some zones are hit much harder(at the beginning of an epidemic) than others. I can't know which zones are prone to being hit harder, except what is well known : bad hygiene countries and high tourism countries will be hit earlier and harder than others, as well as countries with a high proportion of the population native from hot spot areas. U.S. is basically FULL of infected people, because it is visited by millions of tourists AND have a high population of Asians. India is hit the worst...they just don't care, because 100 times more Indians are born then those dying from CV-19...for the moment. A pandemic with a virus that have a high incubation period and 80%+ of the cases mild or asymptomatic is VERY SLOW. Like fucking slow. What we see now, with SK and Italy, is going to happen EVERYWHERE else...but staggered in time. |
