They are selling you a permit that allows you to be in public areas that are normally closed at dark. Non stargazers normally mess these areas up by driving around at night with headlights on and other visual pollution. There are several parks in PA that do this, to make the rules familiar and to ensure a safe environment for people who value the dark. One fucking moron with light pollution can ruin it for everyone. |
