#1> is the slowness of the disease could help the scientists get ahead of it.at the moment they know very little and do not have a way to diagnose nor treat this. hopefully they can figure that out soon.

the 2 week incubation menas not many are running to the hospital. since many think it is flu they believe it is treatable and they will recover. this delayed panic due to lack of deaths is a double edged sword. the nurses are not taking precautions to protect families but the public is not panicking either.

this delay helps keep the medical centers functioning at full staff. once ppl realize the virus is everywhere and deadly,then the medical system will be overwhelmed and staff will quit.

the hope is tests and treatment plans can be figured out before the medical system gets overwhelmed.
