I am not sure if it would fall under stages of the pandemic but I would add the following:

Massive bodies will start to pile up and backup the system.

Secondary diseases will start to show up because of the bodies rotting in the streets, fluids contaminating sewage systems and water supplies etc.

As essential services break down there will obviously be looting and rioting.

Dengue fever, typhus, yellow fever etc will start to show up and spread wiping out entire cities

Civil society will completely break down. Truck drivers will refuse to carry food into the hot zones due to looting and riots.

National guard will be deployed and actively engage looters with deadly force

Americans are armed to the teeth and all of this will rapidly devolve into something akin to Serbia where snipers shoot anyone who offers themselves as a target on both sides.

Cities will devolve into a prison like state...races will group together and form roaming gangs, raping, robbing and stealing.

For mutual protection other militias will form and likely we will start to look a lot like Yemen or Afghanistan with local warlords controlling food and movements.

No go zones will increase with religions forming militias...should I continue?
