Chinese news...world news...US news and the multitude of conspiracy sites reporting on this doesn't bring about much of an at ease feeling about this shit. If you have kids or older parents and there's even a minuscule chance of them gettin sick I wouldn't want to go to that "place" either. And too...people are still equating to not eating at a "Chinese" restaurant with only the food when I still think it's the people preparing the meal that should concern people the most. They may not have even been to China recently but "they" many to most times hang out with other Chinese that may have recently been to China. Again...it's not about bein scared but rather bein concerned for you and your family's health.  |

When an Asian immigrates they usually bring their whole family. Ive never known of one asian who had to fly to asia to visit anyone, so Im not worried. Its the white teachers teaching English there you have to worry about. They are flying back I heard The chineese restaurant in my old town in Montana always closed for a month or more so they could go back to China every new years..I would not eat chineese now. |

All the chefs I know (I know chefs with Michelin stars) who taste soup and sauces with a spoon use the same spoon to add more ingredients or to stir. Let me tell you another secret: the best way to check if the oil is hot enough is to spit a little in it. In college I worked as a short order cook in a chain (decent one) restaurant. One evening, right at 2am close someone came in drunk and wanted fries. "sorry fryer is off". A while later, waitress returns, he insists on fries. Me: Don't have them....customer insisted. So...the 19 year old me, found fries around the fryer, on the counter, and got down on the floor and pulled fries from holes in the rubber mats, and near the wall where they had not been stepped on. I acquired enough fries to make an order. Put it under the heat lamp for 5 minutes and rang the bell. "Order up" Moral: Don't fuck with the cooks at end of shift, and don't trust restaurant hygiene. I like to add snot to the food when a customer has invalid complaints. And with valid you add sperm right! |
