(OP) Senior Forum Moderator 02/25/2020 10:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The title is sensational doom-sounding but misleading. The moon will only reverse course if observed from an SDO that's also rotating around the earth. And that's natural phenomenon of 3D geometry, not world shattering news. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78450292 This is not strange phenomenon to those who have brain. If we could see other planets retrograding because of earth and all those planets rotate around the sun, the same will happen to all satellites and space observatories rotating around the earth to see the moon which is also rotating around the earth retrograding. It's just math. Oh don't worry, I will never warn you people again. I'll let you idiots duke it out next time as some retard comes through here claiming that it was unusual because I wasn't around to predict it beforehand. It's happened before and now it will happen again. I'm just going to sit back and laugh. is that a promise ? because your arrogance won't be missed Oh it's a promise, but don't think that means I won't hold it over you when you idiots inevitably post BS threads about a future retrograde eclipse without realizing I already predicted it. It'll be like this thread, but a thousand times worse. Thread: ^^^^ DID YOU WATCH THE SUN ??? TRANSIT WAS VISIBLE ON ALL SDO CAMS ^^^^ And of course, some stupid bitch like this hag will say that I did it intentionally to discredit you. Thread: ^^^^ DID YOU WATCH THE SUN ??? TRANSIT WAS VISIBLE ON ALL SDO CAMS ^^^^ (Page 25) You idiots discredit yourselves, that's the truth. You think I'm arrogant now? Just wait until you give me (another) golden opportunity to brag about how smart I am for predicting it and how stupid you are for thinking it was anything unusual. |

You see, I programmed my bot to also annotate the daily images from the spacecraft based on its predictions of any transits that should have happened over the sun. It successfully did this before with an eclipse like this. Quoting: Astroshill Honest question for Astro: do you believe the sun rotates upon its own axis? Just wondering after watching your video with the flares appearing to "progress" across the face of the sun as if it is rotating. Wouldn't that effect be caused by the motion of the SDO as it passes the sun? Yes the sun rotates on its own axis. This is easily confirmed by watching sunspot complexes which can frequently be seen on successive rotations of the sun. SDO is orbiting earth, it takes one year to complete an orbit around the sun but only a few weeks for sunspots to rotate around the sun. I see. So the sun's axial rotation is not like earth's? It's just very, very slow?? doomfan |
