I'm in the hospital for a pulmonary embolism I had Tuesday morning. I'm going to survive that, but they want to keep me here a few more days and I want to get home before the coronavirus patients start showing up.
Am I screwed?
Quoting: Factual Error Have you insisted to them that you want to go home?
I insisted on going home after having a massive heart attack from a 100% occluded main artery, ten hours after the stent was put in, 12 after the attack, directly from the ICU....and after a blistering lecture from the ICU doc about stopping smoking - 20 minutes of that
- I was released.
I was let go after a bowel resection after two days, was supposed to be there five, but insisted I wanted to go home.
I told them I live alone and have a cat that needs caring for....and plus that I just hate being in a hospital.
You have even more reason than I've ever had for wanting to get out of there.
As long as you DO ACTUALLY feel well enough to take care of yourself, then I'd start gently insisting that you'd now like to go home....just for the better rest is a good enough reason in my book.
My heart to yours you get home sooner rather than later....
