I can't tell you this story first hand, because it didn't happen to me, but I will tell you this story as related to me by my mother and Uncle from when they were children.

Ironically, I am the descendant of two Saints, Saint Mahtilda and Saint Olga.

My whole life, I heard the phrase, "the devil read the funny papers over Grandpa's shoulder".

When I got older, I asked what they were talking about.

Apparently, they had a window and a screen door behind Grandpa's chair. Whatever this was, and the best they could describe it was an ape, would come to the window and read the funny papers over Grandpa's shoulder through the windows.

This was a regular thing, and then one day, someone had left the screen door unlocked and it came in.

My Grandma was very devout, but Grandpa didn't go to church.

Later that week, my Grandparents were arguing about it.

She said, "you know what it was, it was the Devil".

Grandpa told her not to call it that.

From that point forward, it caused more trouble in the house than it was already.

There were some scary stories related about this time in their home.

My Grandmother went to the church and they prayed for her as though it was in her mind, but one of the elders that knew my Grandma's devotion took a couple of others to check it out.

Once they started blessing the house, one, was a big 6'3" man that started into the back room praying, it knocked him on his ass.

They returned later for a full blown exorcism.

And speaking of funny, it really is. I rarely dream and tend to be a light sleeper. On the off chance when I do dream, I am quickly able to distinguish that it's a dream, fly around, and wake up normally.

So detailed with constructs that I've never laid eyes on, emotion of horrors and rarer joys that I've never experienced, environments I've never visited, people that I've never known, scenarios taking place that I've never given thought too.

Yet I know where to go, how to interact with things and respond, -when- it is based on the lay of the land, I know not their names but -who- these people are, and somehow among the confusion, know what must be done.

The other dreams also take place in third person, while these vivid dreams I am bound to a first perspective.

When I awake, the muscles of my body are ablaze with exertion, sweat soaking my sheets and the overwhelming sensation that I was, really there.

It’s very strange that this happened to me but I was searching for truth. My conclusion is that I’m no longer atheist. Demons exist, and they are straight from the dimension called hell. Yes I understand this, and remember we are in 3rd dimensions and even I do not remember the dreams, nor do I care.

But the soul know it, and all with souls sleep to rest in astral planes and always remembered in Spirit.

And I'd rather be in at least fifth dimensions again to remember as the dreamers dreamed the dreams in physical planes.
