I have been saying for a week to watch for unusual activity In your area that could be related to Coronavirus response.
Especially around normally quiet National Guard facilities, old Civil Defense local and Regional Rally Points, closed factories, normally quiet local airports, etc.
Archive the info in this thread. It could just save your life in a few weeks.
I got my own wake up call about this today.
Now I am concerned....
In my mind, too many coincidences equals a story.
Close to me is a small manufacturing and office campus, with a short paved privately-owned runway, that did specialty electronics for the government, secret small run stuff. When the owner retired about 8 years ago, the operation was sold to a giant defense contractor, and moved to Maryland. The campus has sat largely unused since.
Being a local pilot, I have met the owner, who is a well known pilot, several times. He is older, and not in good condition health wise.
About 10 years ago, the campus was used by the Marine Corps as a staging point for a Jade Helm exercise.
Today while driving past I noticed activity on the campus. Just down the road is a small manufacturing building and warehouse that went to Mexico a few years ago. In the past week, an 8 foot wire topped fence has been erected around the entire property. An armed guard is at the gate in an unmarked security car. I saw a couple of identical unmarked cars and what looks to be a gov SUV parked in front of the office.
Across the road from that site are two large TV station and radio towers with a transmitter. Two of the tallest in the country.
On the campus itself, there are a couple of small companies renting space in one of the buildings, but there were a couple of cars parked around others today, in what is normally a ghost town on Saturday.
Also this week, the runway looks to have been resealed, with an area of about 100 feet trimmed out to be resurfaced. It is small, but large enough for big Helios, and small twin engined cargo planes, that have operated there in the past . The campus is also next to an active rail line. And near a major interstate on the due of the city.
As I said, in my mind, too many coincidences makes a story. This is too good of a site not to use as a staging point into the city, and as Jade Helm demonstrated, has been done here before. Access to three interstates within a mile, large communications towers and transmitters, airstrip and land for helicopters parking.
I will keep an eye on it for now, and update any news.
