I rep Elver Park Westside Madison. I posted here 3 weeks ago saying that Madison would be one of the first Cities to get the chinavirus. We have Thousands of Chinese Students and Doctors here in Madison.

My take on yesterdays news is that they are trying to keep everyone calm while they are seeking out every individual that made contact with the Confirmed Infected Man. Some of the first reports from Milwaukee yesterday did mention that they are seeking out everyone that was on the plane.

I believe if they publish that the infected will face a Mandatory Quarantine, those that were in contact with the infect Man will be much more difficult to locate. Shit is about to get real, real quick. News will change quickly in the next few hours/days.

Did they fly into Milwaukee or Madison?

I believe it was China to Chicago, and then Chicago to Madison. At least two planeloads of passengers to track down, as well as everyone that was in contact with them at 2+ airports.

You may be bit safer in Milwaukee than I am here in Madison, at least for the time being. I believe it will be in Milwaukee soon.

It’s been in my town for week now and we have a 1,000,000 people population and so far, just two cases.

The cdc has been testing for three weeks. 120k to 160k people have arrived from China since then. How many total Coronavirus tests has the cdc completed so far? Around 600 and they are already a week behind. Add to this the test has a very high false rate. 25% reliable.

So, how many cases do you have in your town?

I'm a farmer and every morning I go to local grocery store (large) to pick up day old bakery goods, milk and produce that they discard for our pigs, a couple of hundred pounds a day.

While I was loading up the truck one of the guys who works back there was cleaning up, breaking down boxes, etc. and I said to him, "I guess our immune systems will protect us from the flu, huh?" and he said, "I just got back from China, we flew out from Hong Kong and they were taking everyone's temperature before they got on the plane."

I said goodbye and got the hell out of there.

So here's the thing, this guy, fresh back from China is working behind the scenes at a fairly large grocery store, handling all the cartons and deliveries of food.

According to a news release from Public Health Madison & Dane County, the individual recently returned from China and went immediately from the airport to the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.

The release said they were tested for coronavirus and have been isolated at home since then and are doing “well.”

The person is still in isolation at home and will remain there until testing shows they no longer have coronavirus, according to PHMDC.
