I think the key thing we need to look for is a radical shift or pivot at -001’s lab. They were pretty clear and open as to what their specific task is. If they get any kind of significant breakthrough, I doubt we’ll get specifics outside of something very vague...it would jeopardize their anonymity. BUT if they get a radically different mission or set of tasks, I would assume things are degrading rapidly and whatever prompted them to speak in the first place would prompt further warning.
My key takeaways from -001 have been this:
- Emergency protocols have been enacted and labs put online or retasked early and proactively
- Containment is futile to the point of not expending resources to even try
- All public-facing focus is to absolutely minimize potential panic and chaos
- Panic and chaos seem to be inevitable at this point, so the more ‘normal’ days that -001’s lab has to work the problem, the better
- -001 is simply a single team member of many, at a single lab of many, working the problem. In a ‘need to know’ environment, their broader knowledge, expertise, or intel will be extremely limited.
- -001 is taking an extreme risk in an extreme situation. One with enough DOD components that the risk of being ‘disappeared’ is VERY real
- Never take anyone at total face value and no one is without some kind of agenda, but take the information flow as part of a whole and use your own critical thinking. To me, -001 is just as credible as any of the ‘official’ sources so far, and FAR more credible than the CCP.
Quoting: Larphillips CDC just confirmed a lot of what he is saying working steadfastly on a treatment regimen that works including antivirals Quoting: Jake That's the public face of it, but privately, they know there's not a medical intervention that works, as 001 has said. A hundred years of research in to the flu virus and the best they've got is Tamiflu, and you have to take it on Day 1 and it only shortens the duration of the flu by a day. While I admire them for trying, there's no way they're gonna fix this. It's gonna have to run its course.
