Is this being investigated for use with the nCoV? My laymans' understanding of this is that a component of it breaks down the protein coating around the ebola virus - which is also an RNA virus with a protein coating that allows for increased infectivity before the immune system recognizes it, and allows the immune system to clear it while also allowing people to develop immunity.

Since nCoV seems to share similar traits in being able to go undetected initially while it builds up to a critical mass in the body, perhaps this may be beneficial?

Side note: I don't look up patents regularly - is it showing today's date because I accessed it today, or did something change with this today?
