A friend asked weeks ago if we wanted to join them on a cruise over spring break. We considered and decided to pass. I’m more than a little thankful we made that decision. I’m not necessarily worried we’d die from NCov, but I’d lose it if we got quarantined on a ship for two weeks.

Brother is traveling from Japan to Los Angeles in less than two weeks. The same time the passengers from the cruise ship that has been docked in Yokohama with many, many people ill on board are going to be released. He's worried at being at the airport possibly with some of them. I can't blame him. He's coming to visit me. I really want to tell him to stay the heck in Japan but trip is non-refundable.

Then ask Jesus to freaking protect him and you guys will be just fine. Stop rolling your eyes. Do it.

I travelled a lot years ago.

Africa, Europe, Asia, South America.

Now travelling and being a crowed place, is the worst possible thing.

I was going to spend a week in FL this month, but postponed it until March--have a better idea what's true about this.

I have a friend who just left on a cruise. She was not aware of the corona virus. I suspect there are more people out there like this than we think.

Air travel is ok as long as you aren’t seated within 10 rows of a cougher or super spreader.

I’d be careful where you go, however. India, Thailand, S Korea, Singapore, Japan - I’d watch out because you don’t want to be caught in a travel ban and quarantined when you get home.

I will never go on another cruise in my entire life. So no sea travel.

I went on 2 carnival cruises in college and while trashier, the women on that cruise were easier.

But they are Petri dishes and now most cruises out of Miami or ft Lauderdale are filled with columbians. All you hear is Spanish.

Even in the best of times I admit I would need to give myself a pep talk to fly - Sea travel - um no, the thought of all those people in even the best of times - just no.

I prefer parks, as in National or State type - and tiny little towns - and browsing antique and second hand stores - or going to the off the beaten coastal areas around me that are more local spots, like Cedar Key Florida. I'd rather drive the back roads to a place like Eufaula, Alabama and get picnic supplies at Piggly Wiggly and eat down by the river after a day browsing the local second hand shops - than fly to Paris, France and deal with the "cultural enrichment" of a dirty, too loud, too modern city. I am a tiny coastal town, shrimp off the boat kind of girl these days.

I don't prefer all the crazy energy of crowds or cities or "popular destinations" with thrill type things going on like Roller coasters, or gambling, or jet ski noise - paragliding, bungee anything, etc. etc. Give me a cold one where I can sit on the sea wall and watch the fish jump. Sounds good to me.

If I have to go places, I will go. I am not a panicky type, just a cautious type, going by intuition.

I've had bad accidents in my life. I survived them. I think I will do OK no WuFlu.

Can get run over by some crazy driver down the next road too. Lots of ill behaved drivers with 4WDs in my neck of the woods.

Again no panic.

You couldn't pay me to go on a cruise in the first place. They have enough people getting sick with things like norovirus as it is.
No way would I get on one with this virus going around.
Right now, I wouldn't get on a plane either.
