BigD, who knows!

We just need to be prepared and if we need to go in, have as much ammo as we can to question the care

Could taking kratom prevent a cytokine storm from brewing?

"The best kratom works by interfering with the pathway of pain. It blocks cytokines, the chemicals released in the body when injured. Cytokines are responsible for pain and inflammation in the body."

I do know that taking elderberry can boost your immune system. I took it one morning after a sore throat, and it was called Sambucol. I took 4 pills over two days, and on day three I didn't jave a cold, it knocked it out!

That’s not a good thing to take if you are in CS, immunostimulant herbs can make it worse

Be very careful taking any medications that are immune system stimulants like echinacea

Immunostimulant herbs with this ability include

Astragalus Root
Barley
Catnip
Coconut oil
Dong Quai
Echinacea
Elderberry
Garlic
Ginseng
Golden Seal
Kombucha
Maca Root
Maitake
Queen of the meadow
Reishi
Shiitake
Suma Root

Re: This Simple Test May Help Diagnose Cytokine Storm Early On, Remember The Name If You Get sick
Most people die from cytokine storm due to lack of knowledge. Did anyone search "survivors of the Spanish flu?"

American Indians use Lomatium Root Oil. People can make it themselves. make a tea. American Indians had ZERO fatalities. it was called "big medicine"

Germans used some sort of powdered duck heart and liver, spelled something like Umcka

Chinese used a wild sage root similar to the American indians.

Japanese placed the victims head low to the floor on a picnic type bench, face down, and had someone "sit" on the victims back in order to assist in removing mucus while coughing. This created a more productive cough.

Infrared kills it (Tons of Sunlight)
Infrared light bulbs (250w bulbs go 3" deep into the body killing all plague, bacteria and virus.

UV kills it although it takes a ton of UV to penetrate deep into the body. Its better used in the room

Oxygen kills plague

Ozone kills plague - They make water and air ozonators but people need to gradually introduce the ozone to the body so it can adjust. They kill plague in the air immediately but in the lungs takes a gradual introduction

Food grade hydrogen peroxide mixed into a humidifier creates a productive cough

Baking soda kills it in the throat and stomach areas

Sweating in a sauna helps drain the lymph system. One need to get the fever somewhat under control then gradually do sauna sessions forcing a sweat. Sweating is good just that the body can't sweat fast enough...so assist it in a sauna.

Funny how I see no UV or IR in Chinese hospitals. Those hospitals should be glowing purple and red.

NEVER take Zinc during a cytokine storm because it accelerates the storm.

Infrared light bulbs - I'm guessing you'd need to buy a type of machine for personal use that could protect say one room?
 Quoting: Ragnar_Lothbrok

Sry, ...work again.

Depends on the goal. if you wish to have a clean house, setup an ozonator, with UV and IR bulbs by the entrance. If you wish to detox, make your shower into a sauna. Add infrared bulbs, get temps up to 120deg and sweat. When doing so monitor body temps and try to float around 102deg. Nothing can survive 102deg or higher, not even cancer. Only healthy body tissue.

THAT is interesting. There are maybe 10 ingredients in kratom. Five they have no idea what they do. I can tell you this, I broke two hips in an accident. One baby spoon of kratom I felt like going fishing. Doesn't work on everyone, but for those it does work on, not a better pain med available. As for blocking Cytokines, some study needs to be done there. Its a muscle relaxer also which may prove useful.

Might be useful info if needed, could this also apply to the flu?

An article on what drugs they have used for patients .....

So "while you're waiting for the new miracle drug, it's worthwhile looking for existing drugs that could be repurposed" to treat new viruses, Morse told Live Science.

That's exactly the route doctors took to treat a 35-year-old man in Washington state, the first U.S. patient to have been infected with the new coronavirus.

When his symptoms worsened, the man was given an unapproved antiviral drug called remdesivir that was originally developed to treat Ebola, according to a case report published Jan. 31 in The New England Journal of Medicine.

Doctors gave this drug to the patient by making a "compassionate use" request to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which allows experimental drugs to be given to people outside of clinical trials, usually in emergency situations. The patient, who was recently released from the hospital, didn't seem to experience any side effects of the drug.

They found that remdesivir stopped the virus from replicating in a lab dish. Similarly, the group found that chloroquine — an approved and widely used anti-malarial and autoimmune disease drug — was also effective in stopping the virus from spreading in human cells in the lab, the researchers reported in a short letter published Feb. 4 in the journal Cell Research.

What's more, both drugs were effective at low concentrations, and neither drug was highly toxic to human cells.

Instead of finding a single drug to treat the coronavirus, "I would suggest a cocktail of drugs that target different stages of replication," Reiss said. "This virus is probably going to be like a number of other viruses, and it will undergo mutation and selection, so if you use only one antiviral drug, you are going to ultimately select for resistance."

What's more, the treatment will be most effective when given to a patient early on, perhaps even before symptoms develop, she said. "Taken very early in the course of exposure, the antiviral drugs could have a real impact," she said. After someone is already in the hospital in respiratory distress and a high fever, "it is much harder to treat the infection, people are more likely to treat the disease."

FYI: Some treatment options

CytoDyn-leronlimab

CytoDyn is examining leronlimab (PRO 140), a CCR5 antagonist, as a potential treatment for 2019-nCOV.

The drug is already being investigated in phase two clinical trials as a treatment for HIV and has been awarded fast-track approval status by the United States Food and Drug Administration.

BXT-25 by BIOXYTRAN to treat late-stage acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)

BIOXYTRAN announced that it exploring partners to develop its lead drug candidate, BX-25, as a treatment for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) in late-stage patients infected with the coronavirus. The diffusion of oxygen to the blood is comprised in patients suffering from ARDS leading to fluid build-up in the lungs.

BX-25 is designed to be 5,000 times smaller than blood cells and efficiently transport oxygen through the body for a period of nine hours before being processed by the liver. The drug can help in supplying oxygen to the vital organs and enable the patient to recover and survive.

Coronavirus medicines: Drugs being developed for the novel coronavirus

Remdesivir (GS-5734) by Gilead Sciences

An ebola drug developed by Gilead Sciences that was found to be ineffective is now being tested in phase III randomised clinical trial in partnership with China.

Biocryst Pharma’s Galidesivir, a potential antiviral for coronavirus treatment

The antiviral drug Galidesivir (BCX4430) has shown broad-spectrum activity against a wide range of pathogens including coronavirus. It is a nucleoside RNA polymerase inhibitor that disrupts the process of viral replication.

Regeneron’s REGN3048-3051

Discovered by Regeneron, the combination of neutralising monoclonal antibodies REGN3048 and REGN3051 is being studied against coronavirus infection in a first-in-human clinical trial sponsored by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). The safety and tolerability of the drug will be studied in 48 patients.

Lopinavir/ritonavir in combination with ribavirin showed reduced fatality rate and milder disease course during an open clinical trial in patients in the 2003 SARS outbreak.

Cipla is also reportedly planning to repurpose its HIV drug LOPIMUNE, which is a combination of protease inhibitors Lopinavir and Ritonavir, for the treatment of coronavirus.

A licensed generic of Kaletra®, LOPIMUNE is currently available in packs of 60 tablets each, containing 200mg of Lopinavir and 50mg of Ritonavir.

Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, donated its PREZCOBIX® HIV medication (darunavir/cobicistat) for use in research activities aimed at finding a treatment for Covid-19.
