The Russian Defense Ministry commented Thursday evening on the military operation supported by Turkey in eastern Idlib, and called on Ankara to activate contacts around the region.

"We call on Turkey to activate communication through experts and avoid any strongly worded statements about Idlib," Russia's Ministry of Defense said in a statement

 

It added: Idlib factions penetrated the defenses of the Assad regime in the "Neirab" area of Idlib eastern countryside with the support of Turkish artillery.

 

Adding :We call on Ankara to stop supporting "terrorists" in Syria and supplying them with weapons.

 

The Syrian National Army had started an attack against militia sites in the town of "Neirab" east of Idlib with the support of the Turkish Army, and the attacking forces were able to break the defensive lines of the militias and cause human and material losses on their ranks.
