Has anyone dealt with persistent physical anxiety before?
I've been having daily episodes since Jan 23rd.

I went to the ER b/c I thought I was having a heart attack.

EKG, cat scan, X-ray, heart looks fine to them. Cardiologist has me on a heart monitor and an echo scheduled later this month.

When the ER told me I wasn't having a heart attack, I realized it was either a panic or anxiety attack.

Everyday since then I've had bad physical anxiety. Heart beat will flutter/skip, heart rate spikes up to 130-140, then I start sweating real bad and have to go lay down. Happens multiple times a day, everyday.

Totally changed my diet and exercise habits to try and combat this. Greens multiple times a day, cut out all soda and caffeine, cut considerably back on the alcohol. Walked/jogged/ran 14 miles in the past 7 days.

Seeing a psychiatrist next week.

Work triggers it a lot, might need a break. 5 years at current company and the most I've taken off is 1 consecutive week, with ~3 weeks total vacation a year. Been taking a week in the summer off and a week around Christmas, then using the rest as sick days randomly throughout the year, but think I really need an extended break :/.

I guess panic/anxiety attacks are as common as flu nowadays. You've done right changes to your daily habits, and if you have a Wi-fi router near you at your home, I'd suggest you to get rid of it.

Its not you ... Its liberalcare ... The anxiety , stress , depression and numerous other mental health issues including suicidal thoughts are a common symptom of liberalism ... And canada has an ongoing epidemic so join the canadian club and drink up and hope and cope ... There is no cure.

maybe some days off will help ... 2/3 of millennials have had to take time off of work due to overbearing mental health issues.

So , your not alone

Have you had your thyroid checked?

Would need a complete thyroid panel

Prob good to get all hormones checked

The other thing to consider is monitoring your vitals 4-5x day...including BP, HR...and journal all your foods and supplements.

Sometimes food allergies can cause similar strange symptoms

But journaling everything can help you find a causal link. And it forces you to be more aware of your body rhythms and stresses

Try turning the router off at night and put your cell phone on airplane mode.

Make sure you get lots of sun.

Try earthing (going barefoot on the dirt ground)

Avoid sugar and caffeine!

We stress out a lot. We have wild lettuce in our backyard and eating 3 leaves makes life normal again. It tastes really bitter, but it works perfect!
Lactuca virosa, and you can buy it online. You can make tea too, and just a few sips help calm down the jitters. It makes life happy again.

Yes, 18 years, I couldn’t control it and in addition to what you’re feeling I would vomit. Saw psychiatrist, ER rooms, Xanax, etc...

I was about to take my life and broke down in front of my wife. I said enough is enough went to see my primary physician and he gave me a prescription for venlafaxine 200 mg. I tried ALL the other meds and thought what the heck.

After 5 months. It completely disappeared from my life. I had to go back once to my doctor after a few weeks to say 200 mg is too strong and he adjusted to 100 mg.

I haven’t had a panic attack in 20 years. My doctor saved my life and my family. Can’t thank him enough.

Good luck!!

Re: Has anyone dealt with persistent physical anxiety before?
It's a Yin/Yang situation.

TCM/Macrobiotic therepy.

Panic attacks result from being too yin.

This time of year will bring it on.

Winter is yin time of year. Canada is yin country. (North)

Study macrobiotic food table.

You need more Yang foods. Reduce/abstain from yin foods.

You will feel better in spring/summer.

I experienced same condition 30 years ago.

My first panic attack was on Jan 19th.

Thought I was dying. Months of depression/anxiety until

I figured it out. Once I did never had another episode.

Keep your head up! God loves you!

not promising you anything...

but I've had bad anxiety and shit lately. causes my stomach to ache and overall be miserable.

bought a thing of the 2500mg CBD liquid and I've felt a lot better the last 2 weeks.

I can't promise it works. it could be placebo effect cause you don't really "feel" anything, but my anxiety has definitely decreased.

Magnesium (like many other supplements) comes in different forms.

E.g.cheap Magnesium oxide and sterate don't touch the sides, you could swallow 10x that dose and it wouldn't benefit you at all.

OTOH magnesium citrate and taurine are expensive and much better absorbed by the gut.

Do your own research. Then you won't waste time and money.

Take a good under the tongue spray vit D.

Re: Has anyone dealt with persistent physical anxiety before?
Do you tend to be a night owl OP? I used to get very anxious, and have depressive episodes until I trained myself to sleep before midnight, and then once that happened, my troubles seemingly melted away overnight, and I wasnt unhappy/sick anymore.

As well as that, try using amino acids in supplement form, and see how you feel. Little tweaks are usually all we need to feel better..our bodies give us symptoms as a way of expressing distress, and its up to us to figure out what is troubling the body.

Good luck, hope you feel better soon! hf

Bro, I'm going through the same.

I think it's the virus tbh.

I pulled over on the highway Jan 13th and called an ambulance, I thought I was dying, I became realy dizzy and lightheaded, shortness of breath, mild chest pains...and they wrote it off as anxiety...they checked me with ecg and bloodwork came out textbook. Im 35 M 190lbs 6' 2" and I've never had anything like this shit before in my life and am in great shape. I lift weights and go for a lot of long walks/hiking. I have very healthy routine so it's really had me confused until a few days after my worst episode I saw the new about the virus and then all of these videos of people just passing out made the rounds and I really started to wonder.

Since then I've been doing like you are doing, thinking it was diet or lifestyle. In an effort to figure it out, I've went on elimination diets with some success... but I'm not 100% yet. I cut out caffeine for 2 weeks and that didn't help. Cutting alcohol hasn't helped. Actually, alcohol seems to lessen the symptoms, maybe as a blood thinner? Not sure.

My theory is that I had what they would call a "mild case" without coughing or fever.

But... many of the other symptoms are there and I know this thing hits the ACE2 receptors and angiotensin is what regulates blood pressure.

My theory is that it hits the liver and kidneys which messes up the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone axis and wreaks havoc on blood pressure regulation.

I'm not a doctor but based on all of the literature and logic, it seems like this is a possibility.

Anyways... shit sucks.

I'm feeling better but the heart palps still happen here and there, just less often. Chest tightness seems to get better by the day.

Your situation sounds very similar so I had to post.

Other symptoms I've had other than the heart palps are mild headache, shortness of breath/tightness of chest, bronchial area/dizziness, less energy, feeling flushed for no reason.

I take a good multivitamin, fish/krill/flax oil, D3, vitamin C, magnesium, sea kelp, and eat a low carb-high fat diet fwiw.

Re: Has anyone dealt with persistent physical anxiety before?
Yeah panic attacks feel like the body is falling apart and you have what feel like very real symptoms and feel like going to the doctor to find out what's going on. Of course, the doctor finds nothing wrong and your anxiety increases. You can feel chest pains to even having it seem like you have incontinence.

You have to get off the fear train of negativity, plain and simple. You've got a habit of scaring the shit out of yourself and you're chronically kicking in your flight or fight response to the point that it's truly getting the best of you.

Relax and breathe. Repeat. It's ok. Self help books work wonders. Feed your mind and spirit healthy things for a change.
