AFAIK Masons are a loosely coherent group of people trying to take advantage of privileges they might have. They are no really capable of running anything, just taking advantage of status quo.

They DO claim: "liberty equality and fraternity".Perhaps a fraction within a fraction of them rule the world, but not all of them. And they may claim “liberty equality and fraternity” but they certainly do not practice that.
