OP you’re amazing, do you feel you can change your sleep pattern again?

I think i can, or at least hope in can enough to prevent health issues from severe sleep deprivation.

I work a service based industry. I have to do all the books, taxes, advertisement, design, pricing, estimates, face to face with customers...

There's been funny experiences, but when people find out of the insomnia they understand a little better why i may seem like i have aspergers/autism. I've been asked. Do i? No clue.

You do a lot in your job. That is very stressful. Upper management types could never do all that you do and they do not understand the stress levels. They just slave people. I used to live my life on a hamster wheel, too. And occasionally I would snap. I was always very resentful about the amount of work I was expected to juggle. It made me very angry. I am so glad to be retired now. I hated working!

I feel good after all this, and sometimes it's all that will put me to sleep.

I own the business which is one amazing aspect.

If i simply do not want to do something, i don't. I answer to me. I also have clients that i want to provide amazing service and conversation to.

I'm with you. I don't hate work, but I'd rather be speaking to people about how we can be compassionate and help this home we were born into.

I don't think i can ever retire. I canot accumulate money, no matter how much i work, and that's okay really... Seems most anyone with a lot of money has had to do something questionable to get there. Not always, but certainly more often than not.

I am content.

I'd love to have zero debt, a new car, own my house, new glasses, bla bla bla...

But i don't NEED any of that.

I started praying nightly before bed when Trump was elected, something I've rarely done on a daily basis. I always drop off before the "amen" part. Best sleeping pill EVER! Amazed at its effectiveness, and do not mean to diss praying, at ALL. Mind wanders, I begin again, and am soon asleep.

Bach flower sleep pearls are pretty good if you refuse pharma pills.

Great post ac^^^^^^

I work three days and enjoy the quietude at night as well. I’ve been hunkered down in restore mode for a decade now. Enjoying the long hibernation but also looking forward to the next phase.

There are morning people, early birds, and night people, night owls.

The early bird winds down and falls asleep around 10 the latest and gets up at 5-6am, while the night owl may not go to bed until the early bird wakes.

It's a really weird paradigm, but i have known a few people on the night owl side as well.

Some of my reasoning is that there is very little to no influence of personality, communication or noise, rather it is calm and free for thought and activity.

The world gets tired and wanes in a small bout of death.

The early bird dies first while the night owl mourns through the night and into morning, at some point he falls to rest.

Right now i lay in bed on the other side of about 5 hours of sleep, eyes watering beggimg me to shut them again. The early birds of the house have made coffee and are probably wondering why I'm not up yet.

Two groups that may never understand one another, a given in our system of duality.

I tell these people... You must be resilient to what you've always taken for granted, like constant restful sleep, food, shelter, warmth/cool... If/when society collapses, you can't expect to lay your head down at 10 pm the latest every night.

It's funny how the regular sleeper is irritable after losing only hours of sleep.

My most emotional and compassionate self came to be after much pain, suffering and lack of sleep.

I used to be a slave to money before. I worked 5 or 6 days a week. But few years ago God spoke to me, and He changed my life. This life is not about making money, this life is about loving your neighbor, like Jesus. I love sunrise, but with sunrise comes human noises. My brain works much better at night. God bless you and your life hf

For the last week , sleep dont come easy. Ive always been a night person and here lately i go to bed later and later and sleep in later.
Seems to be my natural rhythm to go to bed late and sleep late and i did that as a child, and now at almost 60, i am sliding back to that same rhythm.
I do notice as we get closer to the full moons each month i sleep deeper and deeper and on full moon, i am totally lost in deep sleep, and dont want to wake up!
