The entire time they were looking for a place to dock they were lying and saying nobody was sick on the boat.

As soon as they get to Cambodia one lady is confirmed with Coronavirus and like 20 other are suspected as being sick.

So Carnival Cruise and the News are just lying the whole time knowing they had sick people on the ship.

MS Westerdam Passenger's Coronavirus Diagnosis Raises New Fears



Officials are scrambling to track down passengers who came into contact with an American woman who tested positive for coronavirus after leaving a cruise ship that was supposedly free of the bug.


The MS Westerdam was stranded at sea for two weeks after Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Guam refused to let it dock because it had made a stop in Hong Kong.

It was finally allowed to dock in Cambodia and began disembarking passengers on Friday. An 83-year-old U.S. woman who got off with her husband flew to Malaysia with 145 other cruise passengers.

She later felt ill at the Kuala Lumpur airport and sought medical help. The Holland America cruise company confirmed Sunday that she had tested positive for COVID-19, as the new coronavirus originating from Wuhan, China, has been named.

Now health officials must track down other travelers, who have since dispersed, to make sure they get screened for the contagious illness.

Coronavirus Infection Found After Cruise Ship Passengers Disperse


“We anticipated glitches, but I have to tell you I didn’t anticipate one of this magnitude,” said Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

With more than a thousand passengers from the Westerdam headed for home, Dr. Schaffner said, it may be harder than ever to keep the coronavirus outbreak contained to China.

“This could be a turning point,” he said.

It is unclear how well the passengers were screened before they were allowed off the ship. But the best approach to containing a broader spread of the virus from the Westerdam would be to track down all of the passengers and quarantine them for two weeks, experts said.

It won’t be easy.

I agree that the Diamond Princess is our petri dish. And it's no fun. But we have no way of determining the effects of this on non-Chinese without this. Asians are an issue as well as it is solidly established that there are indeed DNA specific bioweapons.

The thing that keeps nagging at me is the vaccine for SARS that was mandated in China. It is entirely possible that the vaccine has created an effective super storm within the immune systems of those who rec'd it.

We just won't know until we can get actual data.

A group of people confined in close quarters eating food from the same cafeteria and breathing air piped through ventilation is not a good test case OP.

The virus is already in the US and incubating. We will only get real numbers once the first wave manifests. I know that we want answers now but 14-20 day incubation asymptotic plus it takes 3 weeks to recover or die, so no news until at least March 1.

Question: If they test a guest, and it takes three days to get the test back, and they release a guest based upon those results, isn't it possible that the person tested was infected in that three day waiting period to get the test results back?
