The WHO was debating on what to name the virus for quite a while during the start of the outbreak, decided on Covid 19 last week.

They took so long supposedly because they didn't want to label it as something that would cause unneeded fear. Swine flu caused people to avoid pigs, bird flu birds, that kind of thing. That was likely Chinese influence in the process since they are the #2 funder of the WHO.

every moron with a degree now want to name the virus so they can virtue signal how important they are.

just ignore them and continue the original name.
