just normal retracement after a big run up

the halving in May should put BTC in the 13,500 to 15k range, otherwise mining is not even profitable.

what it means is miners will be less likely to sell the btcs, lessening selling pressure

Good insight, thank you.

I've invested $8500 in BTC/alt coins for the past 2-3 years. My account got as low as $3200 but has since recovered to $7400 with the recent surge. I should have moved everything into stablecoin yesterday but don't want to move it now.

I don't get how a stablecoin can make anyone money if the whole point of it is that its price is STABLE.

Anyway, looks like Tezos, Chainlink, THETA, Ethereum and XRP are going to be the altcoins to watch.

I meant move to stablecoins as a safe haven (to avoid heavy losses/fees) then switch back to BTC/Alts when the carnage ends.

Chainlink is a very interesting coin. I own some and in regards to the price fluctuations I can say while the whole market is down somehow chainlink is just puttering right along as if nothings going on. it may drop 20 points but come right back up. This kind of behavior during a downturn to me says this has a solid base and should expect good results

Isn't Chainlink an ETH token? Do you think that has any significance to its seeming stability? I read somewhere that there was a company really bullish on LINK buying up all the tokens, makes me nervous that they will get dumped hard at some point.

I was actually kind of wondering that myself. CHainlink is an oddity for me in that it has a tendency to move with alot of coins i dont own.

This dip is fuck all, it’s been like this the last 2.5 years I have been invested. Crypto is a long term game, don’t get caught up in the little drops.
No one can predict the market or analyse it as there is nothin to compare
It to. What will be will be, if you cannot afford to loose don’t invest, and if you can just enjoy the ride and be willing to play the long game.

True, I was really suprised we even had so much action in Q1, makes me really optimistic for this summer. Im confident that any buy made before Q3 will net some kind of profit this year.

The way I see it is the crypto market is like the beginning of the internet. People will oppose it, people will decry it, but in reality the way the world is going it makes perfect sense. BTC is a way store wealth digitally, it is void of economic downturn as the issues in Iran recently showed and as the coronavirus will show. It’s not going anywhere,
And yes the road will be bumpy but it’s worth holding on, better to be on the train then watch it simply go by. Altcoins,
Some are good but most are shit, and it just takes some research to see which those are. My account Over the last 2.5 years has been up to £14.5k and down to £5.5k. If I had sold I would have lost out,
All you really have to do is hold on to them and buy the dips.
