There is a huge crisis brewing in China. They have killed of tens of millions of pigs, geese and chickens the last months, due to different viruses, like swine fever and bird flu. This has already caused considerable inflation for basic food products.

A Chinese theme park has triggered a wave of outrage on social media after it forced a pig to bungee jump off a 68-metre high tower.

The incident took place on 18 January at the Meixin Red Wine Town theme park in the sprawling Chinese municipality of Chongqing in south-western China.

The publicity event - which organisers called the golden pig bungee jump - was held to celebrate the opening of the theme park's bungee attraction.

I saw this same thing essentially in my best friends front yard in northern new York back in the early seventies. They hung the hog upside down by it's back legs using a tripod made of three logs and a chain hoist, dipped it into a barrel of hot brine, and proceeded to shave the hair off of it with a machete, all while it was very much alive. WHy tey couldn't have waited to do this until after they kiled it was a mystery to me at the time, but I know now the ancient belief is the meat will be more nutritious if they terrorize it before they kill it...

After they dipped it several times and shaved all the hair off of it, when it was at the height of it terror, they slit it's throat. Blood gushed out rapidly and the hog was motionless within 2 seconds, all of the blood came out very rapidly.
