Poor Blaney couldn't even hardly speak during the post race interview. He was so concerned, along with Buescher, the guy that came in the 3rd. Hamlin acted like he could care less. I just lost respect for Hamlin.

We should have heard something by now.

Yeah I am not worried about the door part. It is where the car hit him when he was upside down. That is about where my head was when I was driving the thing.. The head is strapped in an really can not move. I could turn my head around about 1/4 way at most.

These guys are coached well how to speak with the press-he could barely think straight

The way the car flips reminds me more of the Dan Wheldon Vegas accident than Earnhardt.

Yeah...I'm trying to keep the good thoughts but the sickness in my stomach keeps winning.

Those cars are designed to take that. The hard right hand turn into the wall at 197 mph are what most of us are concerned about.

Runner-up Ryan Blaney said the way the final lap shook out, with Newman surging ahead of Hamlin, that Blaney locked in behind Newman in a move of brand alliance for Ford.

"We pushed Newman there to the lead and then we got a push from the 11 ... I was committed to just pushing him to the win and having a Ford win it and got the bumpers hooked up wrong. It looked bad,'' he said.


There are multiple drivers who will be shattered if Newman winds up deceased

we were saying the same, get him the hell out...it seemed like slow motion at the time
