It would make having a bunker and a compound obsolete, the fuckers will grab us from beneath. Those not outright killed will be transformed into Mushroom-Men, or Spore-Carriers. Kind of like the Flood from Halo. Or Greenskins from 40k. Again, Science Fiction meeting Science Fact in the field. Robotic-hybrid armies of cybernetic organisms are then incorporated into the theater of war, and mankind as we know it could very well become extinct. Then we will see the rise of the Orc, and an army worthy of Mordor can be felt upon that dread horizon.
