I noticed that today there was a huge flood of "its a nothing burger" or "its just a flu bro" type posts both on this site and other forums. It must be some kind of shilling operation that began today. Is this because it was Monday and the people go back to work and have this mentality that everything should have been in total disarray and pandemic doom mode by now? People sitting there in the office frustrated and going "I thought you said two weeks we'd all be dead!"

Like someone else said in another thread, it is almost too quiet right now. Feels like the chatter subsided a bit but that is usually a sign that it is the calm before the storm.

At least now we have direct evidence showing that coronavirus is, in fact, much deadlier than the regular flu. It seemed obvious when damn near an entire nation went on lockdown and quarantined their population but apparently we needed this to specify that we aren't in regular flu season.

How many people does the regular seasonal flu usually kill on average in a year? I wonder what multiplying that by 20 would yield???
