There is also an axiom of sorts for Chinese culture, something the Commies have maximized to its fullest potential: one is either useful or they are not useful... any good Chinese person wants to be as useful and productive as possible (and you better hope to god your fellow countrymen see you as the former) unfortunately, this concept seems to be trumping more time-honored one's like filial piety. |
