The vast majority of Corona cases are mild!!

The vast majority of people in the World Trade Center on 9/11 got out alive. I guess 9/11 wasn't a big deal.

If you think about it, a virus is by design more apt to mutate toward MORE contagious, but LESS severe over time.

If there was a virus that was 100% contagious but dropped people dead the instant they caught it... it wouldn't spread much.

If the same virus was less lethal, but only made people so sick they couldn't get up and move around... it still wouldn't spread a lot, because those people would be home recuperating instead of out in public passing it around.

So by design, a virus will typically mutate toward strains that enable people to circulate in public, thus passing the virus on to new victims with every encounter. Meaning, less lethal and less debilitating, or at least with a very long "up and around" phase.

Thousands of people die of the flu daily. I guess that’s not a big deal?
