AFRO- AMERICAN KIDNAPS WHITE WOMAN AND FORCES HER TO WATCH 'ROOTS' FOR NINE HOURS

Robert Lee Noye, who had a "disjointed" relationship with his victim, in fact maintained her in front of "Roots", a mini-series of more than nine hours recounting the destiny of an Afro- American, from Africa to the American Civil War, including slavery.
Noye explained to the police that he decided to inflict this "punishment" on her so that "she could better understand that she was racist". The 37-year-old woman said he threatened to kill her and cut her to pieces if she tried to run away.
