Here are some thoughts I laid out just a bit ago: The world and it’s entropic pattern of death is comprised of selfishness, greed, cronyism, nepotism, and privilege, and obsolete technology. Higher values include stem from nature, the mind, and spirit, and include technological advancement, health, wisdom, peace, happiness, service to others, environmental stewardship, and qualities that represent unity and progress for the individual and collective. We are all citizens of the Earth and should be born with the right to a fractional share of the Earth's wealth, such as land, food, and water, at least represented by the right to housing, the right to learn, work, and have a change to build a future. Most people have much less than that in poor countries, and just because people here have an opportunity to work at McDonalds or Wal-Mart means nothing except that they're slaves to a failing industrial machine. Justice will be done from this pandemic as it undermines an unfair, exploitative, wasteful, and extractive system. The future will be build with a stronger and smarter government made up of experts and citizens, and the economy will be creative and regenerative. Social Justice is happening now and will continue as opportunity and financial equality increase. Soon there will be universal basic income, equally accessible quality education, meaningful work with job training and continued learning. |
