Otherwise they will turn. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78479444 I have had 3 incidents where pitbulls have attacked my dog and this resulted in their demise. I own a farm with Kengal dogs and occasionally I bring them off the farm to my home in the city for vet appointments or when it's butchering time on the farm. And on 3 occasions neighborhood pitbulls have attacked my kengals to their unfortunate fast death. The kegal killed them with once simple chomp and shake. My kengals are used to defend the farm from wolves and they are very experienced in this effort. On all 3 incidents and to this day I still do not know what triggered these dogs to attack, they we're supposedly well behaved house dogs but when they see something that triggers them they are like a light switch and go into attack mode which is unstoppable. Animal control calls it “clicking on” and pitbulls are the ONLY breed that does that. If your kengals get another chance to defend themselves or you, please get it on video and post it. There used to be a youtube video you'd see on here from time to time when another putbull lost its mind on video. The video showed a pitbull type dog attacking a horse who pulled a cart in the streets of a foreign country. This thing attacks this hardened cart pulling horse in the same way this little girl was attacked) but pretty soon the horse starts getting the better of it, it clamps it in its mouth and starts beating it into the pavement. The dog would break free BUT IT WOULD KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE, until finally the horse eventually holds it in its mouth and drowns it in a deep street puddle. Why do I bring this up? Pitbulls simply aren't wired right. Every normal dog I have ever seen or owned, even if it is aggressive, has a sense of its own mortality and knows when it is losing a fight and will eventually retreat/submit. But these pitbulls are simply genetically bred to fight to the death for no apparent reason, That is what makes them such a hazard. |

From a former game dog breeder: "Imagine this, a litter of puppies with their eyes not even open yet, teeth not even formed, attempting to grab and shake their litter mates even at that age." That is what pitbulls came from. THAT is what they bred for for hundreds of years. Now because they are trying to repurpose these animals as a pet,(60 years gone by) they think they won't ever revert to their game bred traits. And people think they make great pets. SMH |

The vehicle would be an object you can jump up onto should the dog appear to be getting ready to attack. They can jump on a car, but be unable to stay on top of a slightly curved downward metal hood. That inabilty to plant itself will startle the dog enough to retreat. They also are spooked by metal clanging or banging. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77192746 OMG! Yes. I was walking my dog through the neighborhood a couple years ago and we were attacked by a pit. It jumped on me first (I'm a small woman), knocked me off the curb and I was on my back in the street (shrieking of course, which is really bad...any dog is going to take that shrieking as the sound of an injured animal). It took a second to decide if it was going to attack me or my dog. My guardian angel was definitely on duty...a woman across the street was doing her dishes, saw the whole thing go down and came running out of her house with two lids to her pots & pans...banging them together like a crazy person!! The pit ran off. My dog and I were amazingly unharmed. I truly believe it would have turned out differently if that woman hadn't run out clanging the pans. Take the red pill now...later it will come as a suppository. |
