Should be very easy to determine the type of animal based on the geographical area and marks. No? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77771191 Cugars have been reintroduces and it is very hush hush. They released 32 into our North Florida county a few years ago. They stalked people, pets disappeared, they were seen in subdivisions. We fought the Feds and they said that they removed them. They did some but some they just took off the tracking collars. The others they took to South Florida. Saw one go by my kitchen window about 2am one moonlite nite. A friend a few miles away heard one. We lived it. Sneaking animals like Cougars is on their plan to take people's land away. Cougars, Mountain Lions no matter what they call them are Not endangered and are predators. I guess you folks are gonna have to get the shotguns out and start thinning them out again. Lessons have to be relearned over and over. |

Quoting: Dr. Acula Officials say the initial cause of death is being ruled as the result of an animal attack. "Their initial determination was this was caused by injuries consistent with an animal attack," said Sims. Officials say the boy was staying at a relative's house but was not new to the area. Officials say that while it is being ruled an animal attack they still do not know what killed the boy. [link to www.wymt.com (secure)] I've heard rumors it was a bear, mountain lion, or pack of wild dogs. I find it odd that they haven't released that much info regarding this case. I highly suspect Mountain Lion. Sad anyways. If it were a wild animal attack it would be one of the rare cases that occurs. Dr. Acula, I think We both know it's a Werewolf. |

To have their son MURDERED by god knows who, and the incompetent corrupt police just shrug it off as "well i guess he was attacked by some animal or somethin' uhuhuhuh". Fucking horrifying! I guess whoever killed the kid was related to some of the county bigwigs or something. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77528142 Canada 02/21/2020 02:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got stalked by a mountain lion in red rock canyon while tripping on acid. I still have ptsd. It was screaming at us and kept coming but never attacked. It was like 110 degrees that day and it chased us for a few miles. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 57730592 I had a co2 BB gun pistol on me. It was that day I realized how worthless a BB gun is. I didn’t shoot the cat cause I didn’t want to agitate the thing. After that I bought a Glock and have carried a pistol every day since and that was 1995. Damn homie that’s wild shit! Game changer. Closest encounter with a cougar was last summer on the north west coast of Van Island. Taking a pee in the dark camping in the woods and saw this flash of green eyes just staring at me 5 feet away in total darkness. I froze. Then it closed its eyes and that was it. Scared me fucking straight. I was on acid too. Got lucky. |

They all lived up in there, with their grandpa having the biggest section that ran up the face of the mountain to the top. Anyway, the old guy heard (and apparently saw) something up there before and warned us to stay the heck off the mountain, especially in the evening or later on. His son told me they all heard it from time to time and what they described was like the multivoiced screams of a sasquatch. It would start out powerful and low then rise to a pitch that would send you under the bed. Sometimes it would make a loud knocking sound. Pop said he sometimes smelt something awful up there. We never went up there. We listened to our elders. |

If they are stalking you, they are hungry. If you catch one stalking you, don't hesitate but don't move too fast. Slowly and deliberately draw and aim. If it immediately turns and leaves, it made it's decision and will not be back. Give it one second to decide. If it stays looking at you, send it to God. .454, one and done. Only in the head, not in torso, won't work and then they hunt you down wherever you run to. And, if you kill one of their brethren they still hunt you down. Not your ordinary monster type, half human. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 73409964 United States 02/21/2020 03:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thirteen years old. What a shame. Quoting: ~Sloane~ There's a mountain lion been spotted around where I live and people have been fighting over to call in report or not report. Clearly the ones who don't want the lion reported don't have kids. We have had problems with Cougars in the mountains where my cabin and acreage are located. Its extremely rural. I heard a noise on the front deck, looked out the window and there was a cougar with a cub looking at me. I killed a rabid coyote a couple of years ago. I went out the kitchen door after dark and there it was foaming at the mouth and snarling at me. I went into the house, got a hand gun and then shot it. The vultures had a feast! Yea, but coyotes and dogs don't put the limbs they tear off in trees. like what happened here in Virginia, and yet, the cops still blamed this girls death on her dogs. Like the older woman out west, ripped apart and partially eaten by something with canines, they blamed her labradoodle. Really? |
