How can anyone on GLP believe what the US media/CDC says about the number of infected or dead?

I know people who work in hospitals in California. They told me in early January that they were monitoring people for coronavirus and all staff were told not to talk about it. Even now, there has never been any mention in the news that people were being monitored for coronavirus in that hospital or city. Also, they have to test someone for the virus to confirm they died of it. No test, no death to count. Don't be so gullible.
