I worked there for about 2 years. We didn’t argue. He came in saying this and that and I just kept proving him wrong. He didn’t believe that communism killed millions. He thinks the government should provide him with free everything, even if he has to give up freedom. The last straw was when I told him those who are will to give up freedom for security deserve neither.

The first time he uttered that pedantic tripe to me, I would have retorted with something like this. “That’s an astute complimentary observation. Thank you.” Then I’d extend my arm to shake hands. Before letting go I’d squeeze tighter and quip “Maybe you’re not as feckless and cretinous as most liberals.”

If he smarted off at that point, I’d let go and shout with an angry scowl “Man that fart really stinks. Don’t you have any shame?” Then, I’d hastily walk away.
