Anonymous Coward User ID: 5313197 United States 02/22/2020 12:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm less worried about the virus than the lengths the gov't is willing to go to appear to be doing something about it. As a child I had pneumonia at least once and sometimes twice a year and had a permanent case of chronic bronchitis until my late teens when I picked up my first cig. For me it was the end runny noses and wonder of wonders I was finally able to breathe through my nose. It wasn't until I finally saw a doctor that was actually interested in being a doctor and not a script writer that I got scheduled for surgery to have my airway cauterized and widened. What made him decide to on that was seeing my lung Xrays, they looked like I'd been hit with a shotgun several times and had all the buckshot still in me. Since then I haven't had so much as a sniffle in over 25 years, I'm fairly certain by now that if it's possible to be immune to the common cold, I am. Pick up a tobbaco pipe and start smokin' OP. |

Most are vague ... supposedly intentional. Quoting: OnTheFence So what exactly are the symptoms of the Coronavirus? Any way to determine at home? Who can wait days/weeks for a test result? Either will recover or be dead during that time frame. Two weeks ago I had the flu: low fever, body aches, chills. I have bronchial asthma, so my lungs are a weak point for me when I get sick. But during that flu, I didn't have much in regards to respiratory crude ... a little but nothing I took special meds for. The flu/fever lasted 7 days. Then for the last week, my energy level increased and I felt pretty good. But always had a dry occasional cough. Well, today it's flourishing into a full head/chest crude, complete with body aches (especially in my osteo-arthritic joints) and low fever. I work at Walmart (yeah, I know) which we all know is a cesspool of germs. I'm out of absences available and can't afford to lose days to call out, or even lose my job. It's just a really bad time right now for my husband and I financially and we can't catch a break. But that's a story for another day. EDIT: forgot to add that I've been taking 20K IU D3 every other day, multi vitamin, minced garlic every day, and some really good black elderberry syrup (honey, ACV, grain alcohol that no you don't get drunk off of LOL). This is daily for me. So ... *shrugs* Fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath. Link: [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] They're not showing sore throat for Coronavirus. . |

eatinmraw User ID: 41033436 United States 02/22/2020 03:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This one comes like a cold. But the virus tears up the lungs making them vulnerable to infection and pneumonia, which comes after one thinks they've gotten over a cold. Then the fever gets worse and the body shuts down. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55611245 Had something like this January 2018. Thanksgiving 2018 I once again had this same thing only nastier. Over three weeks go by and I start to feel better only to have it come back with a vengeance just a few days before the new year. Couldn't get comfortable in any position. If I tried to lay back I felt like I was drowning and would launch in to the worse coughing fits I'd ever had. In 59 yrs I've never been as sick as I was those 3 times and hadn't had but a couple of head colds this century. I also had not had a flu shot since the 80's. I ended up in the emergency room twice this last time as I just couldn't breathe right and any kind of activity would trigger 5 minute coughing fits. I didn't fully recover until close to the end of February and could still feel the left over effect of that shit through March. I really did think I was dyin on a few of those fits too. First time as an adult that I ever actually feared for my life. Besides the cough attacks the worst part was not sleeping even after taking fairly good size doses of thc and cbd oil. They at least relaxed me so my body didn't ache as much and I wasn't so tensed up all the time. This past Nov I broke down and actually had my first flu shot this century as well as a booster Tdap. I know this all goes against conspiracy theorists mantra but I was almost fearful of facing another winter like the last two I had. I knock on my wood head any time I say I haven't been sick yet...but I haven't (knock knock). I also work at a school district stadium south of Seattle but am thinkin it was a good thing I'm retiring early at the end of this month before the onslaught of dirty grungy kids start showin up for spring sports. Three more days of work next week and I'm outta there(knock knock). Good Luck everyone...we're gonna need it. |

Get your doctor to write you a note that excuses you for 3 or more days, if its 3 or more days you can get a leave of abcense through Sedwick...talk to your personnel coordinator/people lead or your store manager. I once was out of work for 4 days due to being sick. The leave of abcense made it so I got no points those days. I did have to use PTO time to make up the pay. Good luck! I heard that the changa mushroom powder is very good against this. Who knows, can't hurt! See: [link to daviddilling.com] Thing is, changa has vit B and D in it, so these are good to have proper levels of anyway. edit - also heard that for many it started with a mild case of pink-eye of sorts. And that dry cough. This time last year, I had my once-a-year respiratory crud. Had my Dr fill out the forms (everything was spot on) and I was still denied, got pointed for 4 days and was in the process of being fired when the change in point system happened and the points were wiped out for everyone to start over. Plus right now I literally can't afford a Dr (even with the insurance) ... just too many things have happened lately and money is stretched beyond thin. Ok, off to work (I'm in housewares). |

(Ignore the fact it's aimed at veterinarians as the info is very relevant.) Of course elderberry is excellent for colds and illnesses that aren't Wu Flu. IF you have serious difficulty breathing immediately stop taking elderberry and honey and take the 3 classes of OTC drugs as recommended in previous threads. Two are normally for stomach flu or GERT/stomach pain. The other is a basic allergy medicine. Does anyone remember the name of that thread? |

You’re considered in the red if over 100.4°F (38°C) which most often means you have a fever caused by an infection or illness. Not much wiggle room. Cruise ship info.
