I’ve got a 2018 Branson 3015h 35hp with Titan grapple, bucket, brush cutter and box blade. The grapple is amazing for forestry and tree work. Love it👊💥

My Dad had a John Deere. He LOVED that thing. He had a thick John Deere book that he used to repair things on it when something went wrong.

When my parents moved down here, he left it behind. He gave it to my uncle (who bought their house).

I'm sure he does, too. I was actually quite upset when he left it behind. I knew that because of his health issues, and the fact that they were down-sizing their yard, he wouldn't be able to use it, but still.

Was that pun intentional?

Well, I don't think that's in the cards (but I'll never say never). I have pictures of him on it at their old house. :)

Btw Congrats on purchasing your beast! I'm sure you'll love it, just like my dad did his.

John Deere 318 with a 4 way hydraulic snow plow, tire chains, and a mower deck, I want to get a hydraulic feed woodchipper for subcompact tractors. I use it for property upkeep.

What are you using your tractor for?

Watch out with that wood chipper... Don’t piss off the wife before using it!

Heavy brush hogging, excavating stuff around my pond, rototilling a MX track. My lot was overgrown for 15 years or so.

After that (or I) gets old I’ll be clearing the area and converting it to a horse farm to sell to some sucker with too much money. Post hole auger for fence posts... till & plant pasture + whatever the dirt area they practice horse stuff on is called chuckle

Descent unit made in England in IH factory. The Perkins 3cyl is a good workhorse like most all Perkins.

You will want to skid the 650 cca and put in a good bat, as these starters draw lots of AMPS in cold weather and it will kill your starter cranking with low amps.

put in a 1200 cca Optima, and you'll never have a problem starting it even in as low as -30c.

differential hydraulic wet disc, you need to keep a good eye on DIFF fluid contamination and how much water it has absorbed. Id drain it and refill it ASAP, as they are always over looked.

Enjoy your new Trac

Many thanks for the invaluable info! Will def look into what you suggest. Would love to hear anything else you have to add.

I showed up unannounced to check it out. Verified it was cold (34 deg F out) and the damn thing fired up instantly. I was impressed.

Can't maintain this property without all of them. And I have plans for a front hydraulic powered snow blower, rotary tiller and rake.

The Farmall C with the wide front axle, is waiting for new freeze-out plugs. Previous owner only bought it because his wife liked horses. His souped up pickup truck sat all nice in the garage, while the old tractor sat outside for over 50 years.

Also have some smaller Gravely tractors. They tend to beat you to death, if you're not man enough to wrestle one through small trees and large brush, with the bush hog attachment.
