It was a captured Japanese manned 'Zeppelin' for lack of a better word. They made the compartments for the pilot tiny, so that if it was captured, the enemy would be unable to use it against the Japanese.

So they literally found Japanese dudes 5ft tall (wasn't THAT hard) to pilot it. They happened to be former Yakuza, the story goes, and had their pinky cut off (Yakuza ritual, for dishonor) so they had 4 fingers on a hand.

Little men, 4 fingers on a hand. And when it crashed (or the guy kamikazed) the gas masks/breathing apparatus melted onto their face, giving them an alien appearance.

They had earlier told the public that a Japanese attack on LA (the Battle of Los Angeles) was aliens, so it only made sense to keep running with the disinfo. And run with it they did.

Eventually they showed some gullibles corpses of people that had porphyria, and boom, "I saw aliens my dude".

Sounds iffy. A lot easier for Japan to do things much closer to themsleves like in the Northwest, not in New Mexico. Sounds like a possible plan but personally I doubt they ever did it.

The purple scotch tape is the giveaway for me. The Vets who sent up that particular balloon clearly remembered where that tape came from because it was a last minute fix.

There is actually quite a bit of evidence of actual UFO crashes at Roswell and Corona. Read up on the witnesses and their death-bed statements. Too many of them mentioning ETs and “creatures” piloting the crafts to be false, and I don’t know many men who want to die with a lie as their last words.

Actually if you look into this just a little you will find the exact opposite. Many of them only told family members and did so because they had held in the truth for so long. Most were threatened, sworn to secrecy, etc. none of them gained any fame or fortune from the statements. Many expressed great sadness for not having spoken sooner. The officer at Roswell who was responsible for the press release gave a sworn statement in front of a notary a few days before he died with his daughter present, and instructions for the statement to be read only after his death.

In spite of your objections, most people are reluctant to face God with their last act in this life being a lie.
