I've been a long time stacker but always alongside traditional stock/bond/ETFs buyer too.

The PM trade has always been a buy and hold(physical ALWAYS)
strategy; an insurance policy or "armageddon trade" just in case.

Well sadly it's becoming clearer that I made the right decisions. I hate to see this trade pay off! In fact it sickens me to think that so many people will suffer from what is to come. Many who thought people like me were gold or silvertards will be giving their left nut to be me. They just couldn't bring themselves to purchase some "archaic rocks".

Three weeks ago here. Was concerned as you are that I pulled the plug early but its has to correct naturally and now all the exterior pressure from the virus and more. I sleep better which is all that matters and my choice. Apple shuts down plants in China yet the price went up 4-5 a share on some days? Logic out the window in most cases.

I believe that cryptos are not a viable alternative to PMs in a SHTF scenario like this. They were intended for other purposes. Highly unlikely that your local grocery or gas station etc, will be accepting Bitcoin anytime soon. Same for PMs in the short term. However if this rolls on much longer, gold and silver will have a better chance of becoming an alternative to FRNs.
