How many Americans actually want to be a "Superpower" and "world leader?"
WWI, WWII, 75 years later and still everyday having to hear about "this country is doing that," and "this group is doing that" somewhere else in the world.

I think Americans are simply tired of having to shoulder the weight of and worry about every other group on the planet.

we are also tired of paying for it, and the UN is a total disaster.

however, when we pull back, that creates a vacuum which

China will gladly fill

Let China fill it. The Soviets didnt fall in war, they went bankrupt trying to keep up with the US and trying to control Eastern Europe.

Exactly, it just seems that at some point, the burdens of the world need to go back to the individual countries. A century of the US having to be in the middle of literally every issue is just too long.

Truth be told, OP, if my voice could actually account for anything in our nation's politics, such as be a big voice akin to President Trump's voice, then I would not mind being a part of the superpower/world leader. It is only extremely tiring to me to be a part of the superpower/world leader stuff when my voice accounts for literally nothing and I am roped into whatever political nonsense our political leaders can concoct.

Is "someone else" running Canada? They are far from a superpower. Or Australia, New Zealand, etc?

UN, NATO, foreign aid, are all just ways for politicians to get kickbacks. That is why the US is still in all of those countries today. Average citizens are not in favor of any of it and are tired of it. One reason Trump got elected was to end a lot of this.

If we took back what is ours from UN, Ships etc. We would have largest military assets in world. (We need to)

If we stopped putting money in the UN, we would have the highest tech and most formidable military in world.

The UN votes against USA interest every time there is a vote.

True, Rand Paul has a point when he advocates staying out of other peoples business. And pulling the US back within our own borders. More Americans are agreeing with that as well.
