Pat Kelly said it best...
quote:
I have no problem with the police doing their paperwork. What is the problem is he shouldn't have been where he was. When called on it, instead of being humble and finding another legal spot, he is disrespectful and calls in backup, who are also disrespectful. Police are supposed to protect and serve the public, and be professional. None of those officers were.
They view themselves as the POLICE FORCE, we expect to interact with Police Officers.
The Militarization of our Police Force is frightening.
Quoting: Loup Garou no. you don't bust a cop's balls for something so harmless as sitting in front of a biz in a fire lane.
that's fucking petty.
understand, I'm one who has taught my kids to respect police but to also understand that they should never call on the police unless absolutely necessary because you never know which type of cop will show up. Your dog or mom could get shot for nothing.
meaning, I'm no cop sycophant.
however, the fire lane thing is petty.
an officer sitting in his car in front of a business is always a good thing.
it's police presence. I like seeing a cop occasionally drive through my neighborhood for the same reason.
if this guy caught the cop sleeping in his car, then I'd say good for him.
but, he was just a jerk. flexing his muscles to the cops on youtube.
the cops are still humans. you don't get to be rude to other humans for fun.
do unto others.
