Did anyone see the series Rubicon? It aired in 2010 the trailer holds some clues. Take a look at 32 seconds it says market crash and then shows a chart up to 30,000 then down to 18,000 then back up to ? 38,000 before a freefall to unknown numbers. I always wondered if the market crash would correspond to these numbers. I had to slow the 40 second video down to analyze the info.

This trailer is a very interesting puzzle. Rubicon is an American conspiracy thriller television series. It centers on an intelligence analyst working for the American Policy Institute (API) in New York City. He discovers that he may be working with members of a secret society that manipulates world events on a grand scale.

Take a look starting at 32 seconds but the whole 40 seconds in slow motion is worth a look.
