Ok this isn't even funny!

I literally just posted in one of the Corona threads if Disney Parks close then it's gotten real!

This is pretty close
 Quoting: nythinker

Disney Shanghai and Hong Kong still haven’t opened back up. Expect news on Disney Tokyo this week or next. People are probably bailing on Disney Cruises. The Chinese are the biggest vacationers, so Disney Los Angeles and Disney Orlando are probably seeing huge drop-offs.

Disney is about to tank on their biggest sector...parks and resorts. Their three-legged stool is about to lose a leg.

The virus has already been a major hit on a Disney, and we're nowhere close to that story ending.
 Quoting: Larphillips

I wonder if the MSM would spread the word to stay away from the parks. Would that seriously damage that third leg? Or will the MSM use its powers to prop up the parks? Hmmmm

Why would the park close because a CEO is stepping down? Bob Iger will assume the role of executive chairman, Disney announced on Tuesday. He'll remain executive chairman of Disney through the end of 2021, according to the company.

I think you’ve got it backwards....parks are closing because of the CV pandemic. There will me further closures coming down the pike. Disney is about to suffer MASSIVE losses. It’s likely Iger is leaving to A) protect his legacy. The virus is a black swan, but it will sink the captain of the ship. And B) He now has cover and a HUGE payday to hit the bunker and ride out the coming storm.

Disney owns a good portion of MSM
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear."

This is true.

Shaghai Disney Park Closed indefinitely in late January and then Hong Kong Disney Theme Parks closed right after. Both Asian locations not getting money is a major dent in his pocketbook.

He is off to some deserted island, I'm sure.

Maybe because Disney's cruise ships were traveling to Epstein's island trafficking children right under the passengers board.

Stepping down and retiring is a far cry from "falling".

I'm still not sure what to make of all these resigning CEO's. There's no news of them getting arrested or facing any sort of justice, so what gives? Is someone threatening them, or giving them the option of stepping down to avoid prosecution and potentially destroying an important company/brand? I just don't get it.

Re: Bob Iger stepping down as Disney CEO - effective immediately
One of my friends is leaving on Friday this week for a family vacation with her spouse and kids. First half of the trip to be spent at the different theme parks, then second half of their trip will be spent on a cruise ship. She was so excited about it today, been saving money for a long time for a great vacation and it’s all paid off. Now she is just doing the whole countdown “three days to go” thing.

I was shocked and couldn’t believe my ears.

I asked her if she was worried about the coronavirus, especially with the big crowds at the parks and close quarters on the ship? She responded quickly by saying, “Oh you’re funny! Don’t you know that’s fake news? Really, it’s all been debunked, that’s only affecting a small percentage of people overseas. She just grinned and giggled. So I did too.

Wow. Thanks a lot CDC.

Doom on.

Having a CEO like Iger stepping down IMMEDIATELY is certainly something to watch. Either a Weinstein/ Epstein / Prince Andrew pedo link or bugging out with his family to someplace safe.

Sad but a lot of people i know are finally getting their dream vacations or dream jobs with out of town training. I just reminded everybody today that TSA has new procedures in place for screening so make sure they dont cough or run even a degree of temperature because they can be put under investigation for the virus. I am not trying to scare them but want them aware.

That’s a fairly huge development and will definitely slow down security lines (although airport crowds may be down as well.) Have a link on that?
