We have enough food, water and essentials to last a couple of months if not more. Plus a garden. I've been getting stuff together for the last few weeks, because any halfwit can see what's coming. And I've been told in the past that I'm a halfwit, so there we go. I wouldn't want to be joining the horde down at Coles and Woolies when the panic kicks in. Will report back with sightings, etc.

We've been telling all our friends the same - be prepared. We saw this coming and took action.

Yep.. I woke up and can't get back to sleep b/c I'm not sure what to do. Thinking of running to Walmart to stock up after seeing Aus now in Pandemic mode. Trump's talk last night was way too "eh, it's just the flu" but we all know it's not. He's a friggan idiot. So I sit here sleepless, worried and confused.

But supply chain will collapse in 10 days, not enough time to get anything like that delivered. Game over man.

Most people I know down here in Tas are farmers or have very close connections to the farming community. People have decent veggie gardens, keep livestock, chickens etc.
Over the last few years there has been a steady stream of newcomers from the Mainland who have wanted to escape the rat race of big city living.
Its the attraction of our beautiful State the slower pace of life and the ability to afford land and create a more off the grid lifestyle.
Our veggie garden is filled with heirloom variety veggies, we have fresh water and means to live comfortably in isolation. Immediate family members are skilled military types with long term in country experience in war zones so are skilled at defence and safe keeping plus this exact situation has been planned for over the last decade.
I'll be putting those darn tomato plants outside!!
