In truth, there is absolutely no way that we can judge/understand this by reading information from those that control the information.

In a very simplistic view:

Russia wants to rule the world.

China wants to rule the world.

Turkey is only in this for Turkey and they haven't the faintest amount of allegiance to ANYONE but themselves.

Greece just wants to be left alone to be Greece.

Syria is a place to conduct war for those above.

Israel plays chess to manipulate the world with the U.S. as it's hole card. They believe that their God has declared that they are special above all peoples of the world and that he will protect them no matter what they do.

Iran believes that their God has declared that they are special above all peoples of the world and that he will protect them no matter what they do. (yah, same as Israel).

Turkey and Iran will eventually be obliterated. Turkey wiped off the map by Russia and Iran working with Russia to take down Israel. Israel is half blown up and survives. Iran goes to glass eventually.

Greece is hit hard but survives thanks to Russia.

Then Russia/China team up against the U.S. in the last battle. U.S. is nearly wiped out, but survives.
