Zero chance of any of that happening. Look for a couple hundred points on the DOW and then a very large, albeit temporary, short term bounce.

The fed is poised to cut rates today or certainly over the weekend.

Early attempt to hold the line. Fed at work and it will be a wild ride for a bit but ,like yesterday, it wont hold up. Free fall coming today unless major announcement is made. I think it isnt coming as many want a total correction and greed says let it burn . They will make billions instead of mere millions and will leave the 401k crowd out in the cold. Learned a long time ago that we dont count so need to think like they do. Why hold the line today with likely bad news all weekend and attempt stalls momentum? Huge drops coming. Hope for the best but nothing short of total lies and bs will slow this train....Hey, that might just work.....not this time im afraid.

Feds have been poised to RAISE rates for some time. Let's see if they move it either way soon.
My China consultant friend thought rates would go up a few weeks ago. The drop may have put this on hold.
