During the Spanish Flu it is known that folks had used Mustard Plasters (wraps) to help with the Pneumonia/Bronchitis effects from the flu. It is easy to make, cheap to make and if the hospitals are overwhelmed you will not have the opportunity to get the antibiotics to fight pneumonia if it is even bacterial pneumonia. Not sure if there is any truth in the next one, but lots of articles I read about farmers during the Spanish Flu was that they cut onions in half and left them in on a plate. By the next morning the onion was black. It is said (not sure if sources are accurate) that a scientist/ researcher had gone around and noticed that some farmers homes were not impacted by the Spanish Flu and had noticed these cut onions. He found that they had antibacterial and antiviral properties to "ward off" the flu. Honestly, whether the onion thing is legit or not, for the cost of a large bag of onions, it is sure as shit a cheep way to help keep it out of your house!. Another thing... Shit loads of laundry soap and black garbage bags. You need to keep stuff contained. Wash sheets, clothes, curtains and dry them all on high heat.
